A new and exciting way of bringing like-minded people together in a
community that promotes relationships between pets and pet lovers.
Meet the Founders, Suad and Julian
It all started when we became the proud parents of 5 adopted fur babies, 3 cats and 2 dogs.
They turned our world upside down in the best way possible. We had officially become those Pet People. We were constantly cancelling plans and rushing home to see them.
When it came to taking that well-deserved holiday, we were ridden with anxiety and couldn’t bear to leave them behind, especially our sensitive rescue pups. Would they get the love and attention they needed?
We believe pets are souls wrapped in fur, they have feelings just like us, and they need more than a safe place to sleep and eat. They need someone that feels like home. With a background in human and K9 psychology and behaviour, this is more than just a belief for us. It’s about a deep understanding of our pets’ psychological needs.
The regular boarding and sitting services had let us down in the past. We found the experience impersonal, not to mention expensive. We needed a solution that was stress-free for all of us, one that wouldn’t break the bank or interrupt the happiness of our pets.
We needed a buddy. Someone we could rely on to be our pet’s best-friend whenever we were away. Someone who would be happy to do it, not for financial incentives, but out of pure love of our four-legged friends.
Because everyone needs a hand with their pets sometimes, and in a city, you’re surrounded by neighbours who’d be happy to lend a hand if they knew you needed it.
That’s why we created MyPetBuddy. An innovative new approach to pet-care that connects pet-loving people with pet parents in need of a little help. It’s like a modern day support system to make sure our pets live their best lives.
Our mission is to make pet care easier, more affordable and enjoyable for everyone, while always putting the pet’s happiness and wellbeing at the heart of it.
People with pets can join and ask a buddy for help when they need it.
People without pets (or those with pets who have extra love to give) can volunteer to take care of, walk, or simply check-in on someone’s cat or dog in exchange for companionship and the satisfaction of helping new friends.
So, if you’re not quite ready for a full-time commitment, you can be a pet buddy and enjoy a beautiful, furry friend in your life whenever you can.
We believe pets bring us together.
Welcome to your pet loving community!
Meet the Paws Behind the Idea!
Our love for furry friends plays a huge role in our lives, meet
our family members
A big softy at heart. She loves to stare at what’s going on outside and occasionally just at the walls (it’s quite comical really)! She loves being around us when we are in the kitchen and her favorite toy is a drinking straw
Who thinks he’s the king of the house and loves being the center of attention. He’s crazy for cuddles and loves spending time snuggled up with us. The neighborhood is his playground!
Rescued from the middle on the street in JVC when she was just a few weeks old. She is known to climb up the curtains as she finds ways to use up her boundless energy and loves to eat everyone else meals. She is an independent gal!
A silly mixed desert beauty who had a tough past life but now living her best life with us. She is a sensitive soul and the one who encouraged Suad to study K9 behaviour and psychology and through her we have learned a lot. She loves attention, a goof ball and love any kind of meaty treats
Rescued by 38smiles with a massive wound and was instantly our foster fail. A weirdo of the family, who only likes to only play with his sister. He loves his couch and long walks. He is a charmer and would do anything for a treat
Yes we have a bunny too! Nunu recently joined our family after we have lost our beloved bunny named FuFu. Nunu is playful and very food driven. We isn't shy to hop all over you and will ask for some attention. He likes to be around his cat siblings and curious about the dogs.
