MyPetBuddy – a Safe and Secure Community
At MPB we are dedicated to providing a safe environment for our members. We do this by verifying every member before they’re allowed to interact with others in the community.
Verification Process
Each new member goes through different stages of verification based on the chosen membership plan. A member is verified through their mobile phone number and their Emirates Identity card (paid members), so that we’re able to confirm they are who they say they are and that they will be a safe addition to the community. It’s important that this information is accurate and updated if it changes (we know many members may move frequently) both for the safety of the community and for matching you with potential buddies in your area. Only identity verified MPB members are able to chat with other members and arrange meet-ups for the safety of the community.
Chat
MPB has a built-in chat system that allows you to chat with potential buddies virtually to decide if you should set up an in-person meet & greet. Remember MPB is all about meeting new buddies you think you’ll form lasting relationships with so you should feel comfortable and enjoy yourself when interacting with other members. If you don’t find your pawfect match right away, that’s okay! There’s no limit to the number of members you can connect with.
Meet & Greet
When meeting new two and four-legged buddies for the first time it can be smart to pick a location that you’re both comfortable with. This allows you to sniff out your new buddies without feeling uncomfortable, so that you’re able to focus on getting to know each other, learn what mutual interests you might have, set up future play dates and more. As you and your buddies grow closer you can decide to change the location of your get-togethers as you see fit. It’s just all about ensuring your first meet-up is a success!
Four-legged Buddy Care
When someone entrusts you to care for a four-legged buddy it is up to you to ensure that you’re able to care for them properly. This means you should learn about them before you spend time with them alone. Do they have specific dietary needs? Are there any special circumstances or characteristics you need to know? What kinds of activities and attention do they like? By learning about your four-legged buddy before you spend time with them you’ll know you’re able to give them the clawsome care they need!
